Clay Dog/pig/bear

Well... The dog is still drying. I struggled with this little guy. Although the paper ball head looked like a dog head, once I wrapped it in clay it looked like a pig. I had to do his face three times before I was even partially ok with him. So as promised, here he is. The last photo is how I was looking at him while I made him, so its my favorite view. Now he just has to make it through the firing without exploding! We shall see...

Oh and funny story, my Mom commented on liking his "circles". I explained that they were his SPOTS. But now I think there will be a little story about Jane and her dog Circle. See Jane. See Circle. See Jane talk to her silly Mom.

Our Mother must not have had her sugar bowl that afternoon. I'm sitting here at 6:30 in the morning laughing out loud and hoping not to wake our guests sleeping upstairs. I love your dog, Circles. His head is..."unique" from some views he looks like a dog, from some he looks like a bouncer dog, and from some he looks like Brit.

This is all AWESOME, Jane. Now that (as you may have heard) I am not working at OPA anymore, I'm gradually reclaiming a bit of my time and catching up on long overdue "someday" tasks (like checking out your web site & blog). Maybe someday soon I can zip out to The Art Mill and see it all in person. Regardless, I'm so stoked everything is going so well. Best to you on continued success!
